Member’s Exhibit

RAA MEMBER ARTISTS: Next New exhibit 5-13 to 6-9-22.

Opening reception is Saturday, May 14, 1 to 5 pm. Take-in  May 11 (Jewelry artists), 12, 13, 2022

Theme: Abstracts.  We’re not all Picassos, Pollocks, or Rothkos but we often portray something we’re thinking about in a non-representational way. Abstracts don’t have to be explained – just experienced!

No abstracts in your portfolio? Bring us what you’ve got.

Due to the ongoing COVID situation, we are still allowing only 10 artists at a time to bring in your art, so we’re continuing the appointment schedule. No walk-ins. You need to make an appointment for a time slot. Call 1-909-792-8435.

Wednesday, May 11 for jewelry artists from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Thursday, May 12 for table-top and wall art artists from 1 to 4 pm.
Friday, May 13 for table-top and wall art artists from 9:15 am to 6 pm.

Take-down your art from the last show will be done on your same appointment. If you are just picking up your art, you still have to make an appointment.
Regular fees apply.   No docent time is required.   30% commission.
For all artists bringing in art, the inventory form must be completed before you arrive. No tables inside the gallery for filling in forms. Download the inventory form HERE or from the RAA web-site, (Click on Join RAA, select Forms for Members from the drop down menu and click on Inventory Form).
This form is typeable… just start filling in the blanks and then print it out. Make 2 copies: one for you, one for us. Complete the few blanks that didn’t fill in and sign it before you come in. If you can’t download the form, stop in the gallery to pick up some forms.
Each piece must have your artist ID label: Name, Phone, Title, Price. Tape your business card or something on the back, upper right hand corner. For your protection, your artist ID should be on ALL your art, ALL the time. Jewelers – your ID tag must have your name, an inventory number, and the price.
Inspect your art. We will not accept damaged frames, dirty mats, chipped or cracked pieces, or sawtooth hangers (must have wire to hang).

JUNE 8-9-10 Take-in for the following exhibit. Theme: Along the Beach.

JULY 27-28-29 Take-in after that. Theme: Black/White/Red.

Janet Edwards 4-23 to 5-13-22

Printmaker, Watercolorist, California Artist and Redlands Treasured Artist, Janet Edwards, is holding her Retirement Show at the Redlands Art Association. Sadly, she will no longer be making etchings to sell.

Janet says of her art: "For over three decades I have worked primarily in the etching medium, my love of watercolor has strongly influenced me toward interpreting my images with a watercolor like style."

Janet, famous for her iconic etchings of palms trees ( most of these have been sold) will be selling framed, matted pieces and greeting cards.

She will also be showing her husband's work; some of his books and matted art. Unfortunately, Fred Edwards, passed earlier this month after a long illness.

Janet has asked that purchased art remain on the wall for the duration of the show so everyone can view it.

The show is free and open to the public.
