President’s Message

Hi everyone,

It saddens us because we lost our beloved friend, Joan Wiley. Joan had been involved in the art association for many, many years and was one of the first people I met there. It seemed as though Joan was always there, doing everything that needed to be done behind the scenes; banking, accounting, issuing checks and answering questions from everyone. I am sure she did many more things that no one ever knew about. That’s the way she was; quietly doing everything she could to make RAA function but not wanting a title or credit for all the work she did. And always painting, always learning new things about being an artist. We will miss Joan and will always remember her – to us she was Mrs. RAA.

On a happier note, I hope you are planning to attend our annual pot luck dinner on June 6. Members bring the most amazing food; family members and friends are welcome. We will install our officers and committee heads for next year, meet members of our Board of Directors. MCAEEF’s new five-minute film will be shown and our Historian will display some of our collections of newspaper articles and photos.

Wednesday, June 6, 6:00 PM

Don’t forget to register for this event so we know how many people to expect. You can do this by calling the gallery. Your Operating Committee and your Board of Directors hope to see you there.
