President’s Message

Welcome 2021!  Finally!

The excitement in greeting this New Year has been overwhelming. We here at Redlands Art Association, will proceed with caution regarding our expectations and eagerness. All safety precautions and Covid 19 guidelines are being enforced stronger than ever in the gallery. If you are well and we pray you are, please visit the gallery to see the fantastic artwork on display. As the Holiday Artist’s Choice show comes to a close, the new show “Dazzle Me With Color” will be up by January 16th. In addition, to this show, there will be a crafters table display. This exhibit will be similar to the holiday tables we have set up in the East gallery. Please call to set up an appointment to bring your crafts in to the gallery. Gallery hours are Monday-Saturday 11-4pm.

What you think, you become.
What you feed, you attract.
What you imagine, you create.

A huge thank you to all who gifted the Redlands Art Association with a tax deductible donation this past year. Your contributions allow us to keep doing what we do. Thank you to all who shopped with small business in mind this holiday season. We almost thought Covid times were in the past because sales were nearly normal. Alas, we are still in hard times, but there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. We hope you see it too.

We are so pleased for the artists who had their artwork on display. Now, those art pieces are a cherished gift received or a wonderful addition to someone’s collection.

Regarding Art Education, we had two successful Saturday parking lot Youth clay workshops in Nov. and Dec. With the surge continuing, all Youth Education classes will resume online in late January. I’m an optimist and really hope we can start back with in person outdoor classes in the Spring. We’ll see.

In March, we will have our annual, juried Multi Media Mini Show. This show is open to the public. Pieces of art must not exceed 14.5 x14.5 in size. Please call the gallery to schedule an appointment to enter your artwork. Take-in dates are March 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Stay safe and hopeful in this current climate of chaos. And keep thinking, feeding, and imagining your creativity.
